Anyone know how to make realistic materials like these?

I read it on a MakeHuman webpage...I'm using that program to make myself a more realistic humanoid, as I do not know when I will ever finish the project...gotta be ready for whatever hardware is available in the future!

yep.....and unfortunately it's shaders, and RF does not support shaders. i'd concentrate on making a texture with baked in lighting, try not to do photo-realistic textures as without any type of shaders this will not produce those type of effect,
however you can still do some really good looking textures but they will usually look pretty flat.
here is textures from ben mathis's web site he has some really good techniques for what we can produce in RF and look really good. he should be some one to listen to he has worked on games such as gun, oblivion, bloodrayne and ghost recon 2

@Spyrewolf I've always hated the name of that site. But once you get past the name its an awesome site.
@wackedoutbiker Those materials aren't all that realistic they are extremely shiny.
