Hi,
I have had help recently on a 3ds model origin movement
so as to stop a model from being half way through the floor of my level
but how do i do the same thing with a .act file
Or to but it another way
I had a 3ds model that i loaded in to milkshape and changed the origin so
that the model stood on the floor of my level instead of being halfway through the floor
this worked fine.
but how to i do the same thing with a .act file
a can not as far as i know load a .act file into milkshape to alter it.
so how can i do this.
hope this makes sense,
Dodger.
.act file origin movement
Go /Tools/decompile Genesis 3d acta can not as far as i know load a .act file into milkshape to alter it.
then go Import/genesis 3d .bdy file

after loading in the .act file nothing shows up
i have tried to scale up but there is still nothing there
maybe i have the settings wrong .....?
what do you think!

the robot ...virgil... ect does not load
i just get an error .... [milkshape has developed a problem and must now close] .....and then milkshape crashes.

Milkshape doesn't recognise the .bdy file it produces when it decompiles a .act file ( not for me anyway). A workaround is to decompile with Milkshape then load the .bdy file in lithunwrap and resave as a .3ds file which you can then load into milkshape. Don't try saving as a .ms3d file from lithunwrap again milkshape sometime doesn't recognise it. BTW I am using milkshape v1.7.10. but I still had the same problems with the earlier versions.
