virgil_red as enemy

Hi everyone,
I,m posting a lot i know!

But as a newbie to rf ...im sure you understand that i need to do this to learn.

I need to ask this question ....
can i use virgil-red as an enemy without writing my own pawn script?

I have set up robot this way and used the robot.s script
this works fine ... but when i try this on virgil_red none of the pawn scripts seem to work.

I do appr all the help so far from the forum ...i just want to understand more.

Im running rf o75a .......

There should be something like (It's been a good year since I tried Simkin, so I am probably getting something wrong):

RUN=[Run]

At the beginning of the script. these are animation names. Make a backup of the robot.s file and then change them to reflect the actual names of the animations in the red virgil actor (you can see the names using ActView). Enter the correct entries. So if you found out that the name of the animation was actually Run01:

RUN=[Run01]

And so on for all animations. Again, I'm darned rusty when it comes to RF1 scripting, so the basic structure is probably different.

Hi,
I followed your advice AndyCR
and got virgil attacking me ....[ thank you ]

The only problem is he has no weapon and does not
take any of my health ... i have tried to change things with no luck.

any advice would be appr.
