The Colt is VERY good work. I think it looks almost like it was real, but this could come from the lighting. Cannot say very much about the Mp5 until it's textured.
For 181 polys it's very detailed (i mean the colt)

I think sudi uses Gmax witch is free. The guns look great but kinda flat but great 3rd person models I made some if you want to see then see my topic in the modelers forum.

Yeah i already saw ur weapons...post them in this thread too.
i now they are flat they rn't first person models more world or 3rd person and i didn't use gmax, i used Anim8or which is free, too a great programm in my opinion and way easyer to use than milkshape or gmax.
I also modeled a sword but i couldn't find a good texture for it maybe u gays can help me i'm just gonna post my current sword with texture.

if you use milkshape (30$) you can do this exact same thing, i find it very easy especially using photo textures. use the photo as a backgroud to make your model on so you know when you skin it, it will fit over perfectly.
Honestly rather then saying "i wish i could do that", download milkshape on the trail give it a go, its easier the you might think to make decent models, it only becomes hard when you have to make exellent models.

Feddon i would say milkshape is way harder to use than anim8or or its just bc i'm used to it...i don't know. i would say download anim8or for free and use it u can export to 3ds and import to gmax and from there to nfo and key files.

yeh im used to milkshape so anim8er is foreign to me, but i would try them both see what you like best.
But either way its not terribly hard to learn how to model a bit.

You can see some of my weapons at...
http://www.on-target-productions.125mb.com/
Everything is game poly under 1200 poly's max for first person weapons.
All of the medieval weapons were for Morrowing mods. As was the Spider, and Beholder that are on there.
Wow!!!
