Post by psYco »

Does anyone know where i can get a good, animation program? Like for models i make in milkshape and then I want to make some realistic walking and other animations I also dont really want to build the skeleton from scratch.

I think MilkShape's animating tool is excellent. Sometimes it's certainly hard to make a realistic animation and the frames between the keyframes just don't seem to go like they should, but when you learn all the little tricks it really does its thing.

There are a lot of complete skeletons out there. For example, MilkShape comes with several ready skeletons or you could decompile, say, virgil and steal his skeleton.
Pain is only psychological.

yeah i had a look around and i decided that poser was a bit too compex and a bit pointless for basic in game animations I am still planning on using some thing else for my emotional cut scenes but have just started doing some of the animes in milkshape. I plan to use that scripted player you gave me to mock up my first basic demo of the first level of The Red Button Story in a while, its all still very beta atm, but i think i nearly have enough to start on my first level. :)

I know it seems like a lot of work to build your own skeleton, but really it's best to make a custom skeleton for your model.

I hate doing animation. I have to say that it is my least favorite part of 3D modeling.
