crashing demo's

Hi
I have been trying some of the Reality factory demo's out ...latel'y
and most of them have crashed on me .........

Is this down to me?
I have a new FUJITSU SIEMENS laptop with an O.K size ram ... 512 ... and NEWISH graphics card.
running windows xp ... with directx 9
have other members had problems WITH THE DEMO'S ....

Any feedback would be appriciated.

same happens to me, on the genesis 3d logo , these lightnings just "strike" and nothing more ;(

Try changing the video setup to OPENGL it usually cures the problem for me.

Hi bernie,
I tried what you suggested .. but no luck.
i tried all 3 video setting

fastest direct3d
open gl
regular direct3d

I got crashes with

1. castle of the pharaoh
2. house of shadows

The nirhis demo was fine ...

I will try a few more and see what happens.

but i am still haveing problems

I just had a major crash and lost my demo ...my texture files .. and sound files
i backed them up but they won't load back into my laptop
even after reformating.

I am going to take some time out ...and try to resolve things.
