Blood pool

How would you go about have a pool of blood slowly spreading out around a body?

One way is to define many projectiles with different decals (different sized blood pools) and then shoot them from the dead pawn to the ground. Not very fun to do it this way, but I can't think of anything else right now.

Or i just thoght just now, perhaps make it part of the death animatiopn?

You mean an explosion effect of red blood?cos it has to be across the floor.

use an animated decal. have it shoot to the ground the same way you do the blood spatter thingy. theres a tutorial on that if u search the forums.

In the Forged in Fire demo by Pickles there was a blood effect. Download the demo in the RF resource site then look at at the pawn script. using the FireProjectile command and a bitmap decal associated with the projectile defined in weapon.ini. The pawn, while he is "in pain", fires in a random direction downward. I used something similar in my old RealityRacer demo to leave tyre signs on floor. You can add a spout effect to simulate the falling of the blood.
