Hi all,
I'm new to all of this and I'm really trying to get my head around it all. I work for a landscape firm and I have been doing 3D visuals for a while now. Something I would like to introduce is to setup my models of a courtyard etc, for the user to be able to walk around freely themselves to get a feel for the project. I model/texture in 3dmax, what is then the easiest way to export the entire scene (that is textured) into reality Factory (i really want to use this program, as the examples look good and I love it cos its open source). My thanks in advance.
Cheers

well if you want to import the WHOLE scene, you could do it by making it into an actor (using actor studio, to convert from BDY) and then importing it that way you could have all the textures on already, just add it into the editor like you would a player actor (see adding actors in the docs) however im not sure, you might want to export as a .map and then import into RFeditpro as level geometry but I think you then might have problems with your textures.

@hike1, i went to both those links and one went to a bunch of screens of some random game, not really related to this guys question at all... and the other was to a FAQ, that to my scanning eyes (I browsed briefly each topic within) had very little todo with RF and nothing (that i could find) todo with helpng someone get models into RFEditPro..
please excuse me if im just mis reading the FAQ, it just seems to not even be related to RF itself...

I'm trying to steer him to dungeon hack, imo, it's better thani went to both those links and one went to a bunch of screens of some random game
Reality Factory, especially if all he wants to do is Architecture, no need for any BSP, your level is built in
Max or Blender, goes right into the engine, no conversions.
oh, sorry okies thats cool I just got confused cause there was no info put with the links
