Finished First Level

Post by AeKarma »

I got Reality Factory yesterday and I finished my first level but i'd like some feedback as to what I could have done better and things like that, It's just simple no enemy spawns or anything just a player start with a full level. Also the map was thought with multiplayer in mind even though RF doesn't support multiplayer at the moment.

Here's the download link: http://files.filefront.com/WaterTechniq ... einfo.html

I think that's all you need to run it in RFEditPro.

Update- Screenshots on Spyrewolf's request.

Spawn:

Hallway just outside spawn:

Midlevel Water::

Water in Preview with the RealityFactory Egine:

These are all straight from RFEditPro except for the last water picture which was done in the preview of RFEditPro. The other side of the level is a complete mirror of the first side basically.

I think it's missing the texture library.

Sorry it's taking so long, But I planned on using filefront for everything since I learned it could do it all, By that I mean videos, photos and such but i'm finding out there image uploading is a little gimped on speed.

its fine but its weird. the texture choice and the ramps, well make it strange. and make the floor below the water less bouncy. it makes it look like the floor is bouncing. wat type of game r u makeing? srry if this seems harsh, but im sick rite now.

No worries Darksmaster923, I just take it as something I need to improve on. And as of right now it's not an actual game design just me learning how to make a level in RFEditPro

And by to bouncy. Do you mean that the ground under the water is moving around to much, Or do you mean that the character model should be affected more when jumping in the water?

the design for the level looks pretty tight, but it's hard to tell so early on in development,

i'm assuming your just using placeholders for the textures?, because you really shouldn't use the default library, as everyone has it, and there nothing worse seeing a texture you've already, seen elsewhere,

keep us updated though, it'll be nice to see your progress, also try to post more ingame shots, the editors really don't show lighting all to well.
