Error Reports

Everytime I try to use the build *.bsp function I get an error report. I am brand new to RF, and I was following the instructions on the tutorial at http://www.stormthecastle.com/video-gam ... ctory4.htm. Any ideas on why it always gives me the error report. The entire program does not close, but it won't let me load my, map, erm, box thing. Thanks in advance.

I can't find it. It's not on drive C, it's on E. But I still can't find it. It says the file cannot be found. :shock:

Edit #2: (I didn't read rules, and don't want any double posting trouble) I visited the correct forum and found the thread http://www.realityfactory.info/forum/vi ... ror+report that seems to be similar to my problem. Should I reinstall? And by reinstall should I reinstall, or download again (I still have th installer).

It's probably not a bug, so don't worry, it's in the right place. :)

The log file looks like a text file called "realityfactory" if you have "Hide extensions for known filetypes" (the default in Windows) turned on.

When you say you tried to run the level, which button did you press?

1. Post your message once in the most appropriate topic. Do not post the same or similar messages in multiple topics. This is referred to as spamming the board and your duplicate messages will get deleted. Also any traditional spam such as the "Get Rich Quick", pyramid schemes, etc. will be deleted.

yep and quest does delete/lock it if it is clearly a double post, but of cours, being a member of the commnity for only a few months you probably dont notice, where as for the people who have been here for years clearly know the rules so dont double post in the first place.

Actually I don't believe its acceptible everywhere, and you actually should try not to do this. Its acceptible in your project topics but then you are updating people on your progress. In normal forum posts you should simply edit your post and add what you want to say, this makes it a lot easier to read, and is the standard method... V4zCeNt definatly has the right idea.

Edit: And like I said earlier, I hit the button that says build .bsp* file. It is to the left of the camera icon.

Edit: Reinstall = Problem solved.
