Well, hopefully it's not just spam - I have several categories of articles & posts on the site that I believe are of interest to the users of this community, including:

Gaming Discussions & News

Tech & Geek News

as well as a section dedicated to the Aftermath of Katrina & the Reponses to the disaster that are ongoing:

I am also regularly (numerous times a day) posting updated news & articles from around the net to the site.

It's not like I've setup a site without any content or information on it ;}

I've been experimenting with WordPress (free, open-source 'blog' software), and have been pretty happy with the system so far, it is very easy to use & stays out of my way (two of the most important reasons to use any software) - we will likely be using this system for our upcoming GDGi sites - www.indiedeveloper.net[/ur] as well as [url=http://www.indiegaming.com]www.indiegaming.com, which are designed to be tailored specifically towards helping indie developers create their games as well as publishing & promotional sites for indie games.

Anyways, more on those soon ;}
