Using Terrain and sky

Can I use just a MAP file, and place my PlayerSetup and PlayerStart entity, for an outdoor scene?
I used these in a project, and got an error compiling?
Also is there a step-by-step example for using skydome? Thanks

for the first question:

You also have to put it all into a big hollow box so that you don't get leaks. Then you select it, press PgDown and check the 'Sky'-attribute in the face attributes (to the right). This way the box isn't rendered.

i am sorry but i am a bit in a hurry right now so i cannot answer the 2nd question right now. But i hope i helped you enough to get you started... :)

Don't worry about the skydome thing. I have been reading the rffaq file, and there seem to be enough information in there on skydome that should help. Thanks for the help.
