Anyone ever played this?

I blew a few months on it back in 1995, hey,
it's an RPG. The original wouldn't run, but this
'portable' one works in XP, but not Win 2000.

Be sure to get the 640x480 and 800x600
resolution packs.

The original System Shock was great. I even think there was a System Shock 2 for the PS. But 1995? LOL, half of these guys weren't even born yet.

>>GIVE US A BETA OF THE ENGINE PICKLES<<

Ok, let me tell you where I stand (ie why I recently turned into an a-hole about my engine) in regards to my engine...

There is no profit in selling an engine. That is for people who can not make games. That or their engine can not make commercial games. (Which is usually the case.) For those who can and like to make games, then an engine is the heart of their game design efforts. Since I now have my own engine, I don't see any reason why I shouldn't use it to make as many games as I can. So instead of a beta game engine, game demos will be available. The business is much easier to manage and the profits are much, much greater.

What would you do in my shoes?

Same exact thing. If I had an engine, that was mine 100%, and could make games with it....I'd be doing the same thing.Cause you can sell 10,000 copies of a game faster than you can sell 1000 copies of a game engine.

I'd love to play some of yer demos again, though :p

So what. This is a general discussion forum. Whatever, the perfect example of why I can't sell an engine. It would then require a forum and along with it would be all the posts like that and all the 'game developers' who haven't even been to high school yet. Screw that!

umm,we are trying to design basic games to show in our cv,or else just for fun,and i know that i havent had any professional training,so no wonder we are only 'game developers' as you said.im not getting angry or anything, but i dont think most of us are trying to produce the next Doom or Halo,(altho if anyone did that that would b pretty cool :) )we are just learning,or helping others.(at least as far as i can see)

You need Dungeon Siege:Legends of Aranna, or
Dungeon Siege 1 with the Patch. This is a very fancy looking
Ultima 5 remake, Shamino got killed in the 1st 30 seconds..

I played the actual Dungeon Siege game for about half an hour, it's awful, glad I didn't waste $20.

Couldn't find any cheats for Lazarus, guess I'll actually
have to play it, it looks good.

Here's a remake of Ultima 6 using Dungeon Siege 1 or
Dungeon Siege Legends of Aranna, apparently you also
need the original Ultima 6 (must be around here somewhere)
