I can't even get a screenshot to show you what I'm talking about.try this: get new version of milkshape.....decompile virgil.act....then try to import the .bdy.

We have now been officially left to just gmax or max now.this sucks.

 Nothing new, thats always been the case. Simple workaround -- load the .bdy into lithunwrap and save as .ms3d or .3ds and load into milkshape no worries.

try it with 1.80 or 1.81 version.then try to add .mot to it. Can't do it.

but certanly now means that we have to get our own exporter and importer, too long have we relied upon milkshape, even though its very good for low polly modeling ment it was ristricting some users when it came to RF because it costs.

Just try this, It works for me every time no problems.
1 Decompile Virgil.act materials and motions using actor decompile provided with RF.
2 load Virgil.act with lithunwrap Provided with RF
3 save from lithunwrap as Virgil.ms3d
4 load Virgil.ms3d into milkshape v 1.8.0. I cant say for v 1.8.1 as I haven't installed it yet.
5 point the material to the one you saved from actor decomple or create a new one of your own.
6 import a .mot into milkshape or create a new one if you like.
works perfectly every time no worries export as a .bdy and recompile using astudio provided with RF to a .act
Iv'e always done it this way because milkshape has NEVER imported a .bdy file correctly.

Has anyone tried to contact Mete (the author of Milkshape) about this? He is very responsive.

never used the actor decompile before...always used the one provided with milkshape.....hang on.....

edit: weird....his method above works.....i now have animated .ms3d model files, using version 1.81.......trying it after attempting to use milkshape's own .bdy import tool still fails every single time.....
