Physics in Starwars Force Unleashed

I was just checking out the new game lucasarts is making Starwars Force Unleashed and I looked at the
technology page and noticed the awesome physic system they are using, thought you guys might like to check it out.

Wow. And I thought that all the next generation of video games had to offer was better graphics, but this is insane.

yes i know it's insane what nex gen is doing, these "Intelligent" physic's are crazy, the good news for all you GTA fans out there is R* have implented these physics from lucasarts in their next game GTAIV woohoo

i'm makin' fun of all this "nextgen" stuff with my game.....(ragdoll physics, shaders....heh.)Now it seems Ill have to come up with some sort of thing to do with this.....

I don't think the euphoria(sp?) effect would be too hard to pull off, with a little scripting, and some physics. From the looks of it all some of the stuff is, is flipping back and forth between animated moves and letting physics take control, at certain times.
I would like to know how in the world they did the DMM though... yowza that would be awesome to have in a game.

I think they are using DirectX10 and the geometry shader for the dmm effect, because the geometry shader can split up polygones at runtime. This way they can create like 1000 breaking parts from a 2 poly wall.
