IES recruits Modellers and Sound Mixers!
I am currently working on a FPS game (I'll post link here). I need a model of a crazy professor to import in the game (please not milkshape 3D model). The model should look a bit like Einstein. I also will accept modellers for other jobs later. So if you feel to join IES (Ironhead Entertainment Studio), just show a model you made or some music you composed and I might accept you in the team!

Ryan is right and i have also created alot of stuff with milkshape thats good quality, or do you mean you dont want it in .ms3d and want it in .bdy format, you woulndt know what pakage it came from after the conversion, unless you are not using RF and aiming for something else....? it isnt normaly a problem we all like to help out when and if we can so if you are using another engine you would have to give the limitations of the model like polly count and texture size.
also i would seriously consider not shortining your game name ever if you plan to make this a commercial game, IE stands for Internet explorer, wich is microsoft and that alot of pc users use, microsoft wouldnt take to kindly i wouldnt imagine, just my opinion though.

if its plain stock models you need, i can make them for you in 3ds format since thats a pretty generic format, then you can do whatever you want with them from there. Just tell me what you are looking for and I wil see if i have time to work it in. Although, if you are looking to make game dev a hobby or a carrer, i would suggest you learn how to model with some type of program. (Milkshape is best).

as a side note, i once read that many 'professional' modders for counterstrike or other games model with milkshape3d. However there are also milkshape-haters (i cannot understand them, it's pretty easy to use and the price is low) You could also use 3ds max but the problem with that is probably the price. And Truespace's animation capabilites are a bit low, however it's a very good modeller for static thinghs. (also easy to use)
Everyone can see the difficult, but only the wise can see the simple.

I had a problem with the code I bought, and it didn't work. So I don't want that again. And without buying it, you can't save. (Or am I wrong?)Ryan wrote:ummm, how come not a milkshape model. Milkshape is kinda needed to get the model into the game to begin with.
I'll not shorten it, you're right, scott! Thanks!
If you don't want to buy anything you will never get into serious bussines because models made with free programs looks much worse then with 3Ds Max. But if you want to work with RF 3Ds Max is too powerful so if you want just free programs you can use Gmax and use MilkShape demo just as an exporter

What do you mean export. All you really need is to export your model to a BDY. Try this mate, download anim8or, and get to know that program. I have been using it for almost 3 years (thats embarassing i know but it works well for me) Its really easy and the manual and tuts are short and easy to understand. Then export your models out of anim8or as a 3DS, import them into milkshape, then export as a BDY. Boom, you got an actor you made yourself.

I've had troubles with registering MilkShape too. Just contact Mete, he should be able to help you out. (http://chumbalum.swissquake.ch/)Lol I did it and I get the error: This copy is not registered, so I can't export BDY's. I did register it but I didn't register it
Pain is only psychological.
I had probs with registering it. I bought it and when I couldn't register it I got nervous, downloaded keygen with crack and hacked it. Now it works perfectly It's still legal, right? I got legal serial and stuff...Juutis wrote:I've had troubles with registering MilkShape too. Just contact Mete, he should be able to help you out.
