What is the best setting Far Clip Plane and Fog distance for outdoor levels.

help me because i want to create big terrains for my game, but i need all help.

Large terrains should not be entirely in view all the time. I would set the far clip plane between 2000 and 4000. Fog distance depends on what type of effect you are trying to achieve. If you are trying for a Silent Hill type fog effect you would set the fog distance to a low value like 500.

It's also good to break the model into parts, this way the engine can cull the unseen polys faster (it really helps!!!)


EDIT:

Sorry, forget it, this does not help in this case, you are using Nems terrain editor? (I could not view the picture last time, i was blind shooting)
