Hello,
I've read all the posts about bumpmapping and also read the manual. I now have a more technical question:
My GraphicCard is a ATI Sapphire X700 Pro. The D3DDrv.Log reads as follows:
D3DMain_GetSurfaceFormats: Unable to find a 888 (24-bit) texture support.
D3DMain_GetSurfaceFormats: Unable to find 888 (24-bit) bump map support.
The manual says, if there are such entries, my GCard can't handle EMBM. It is also written that dot3 works on
older cards. Don't think, that my X700Pro is an old card. Dot3 bump mapping works, but the actor is sometimes
lit up like fire even if I use dynamic lights. My question:
Could it be, that the X700 Pro has EMBM ability but only for 16 and 32bit? I ask this because there are only 2
different color resolutions possible at the main display driver panel : 16bit and 32bit.

Bump mapping
At the long run we are all dead.
