Problem with model

Hi All, i'm new to RF and the forums.

I have a question:

How do I shift a mesh and skeleton in ms3d so that the origin is below the feet. I tried moving them but when i imported the mot animations, the movements are out. They moved ok if i left them in place.

The skeleton was from a decompiled act file and the mesh from a half-life mdl.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

What actor file is the sketleton from ? You can do it with the virgil skeleton but it requires messy a workaround. Ie once the model has been rigged with the virgil skeleton .
1 export as a .bdy file.
2 open the bdy file in lithunwrap
3 save as ms3d
4 reload ms3d file in milkshape
5 repeat steps 1-4 twice more
6 save as .bdy file and build the actor file with astudio adding animations *.* and pointing at the vigil .act file

You can't move a skeleton in Milkshape and use existing mot files,
lithunwrap rotates the model through 90 degrees when saving as ms3d and so solves the problem.

I have done this succesfully with the virgil/nadia skeltons and the universal human meshes.
I hope this answers your question. I'm sorry but I am not much good at explaining things.
