Help me in beginning!

Hello,
I am rather new to Reality Factory, and I have little to no clue on programming First Person Shooters for Reality factory in the script editors. If someone could help me out with the enemy coding and the gun coding I would be most obliged (an if possible, help with compiling the entire thing).

you dont have to code weapons for any basic fps with rf cuz the code is already there. go into the install folder in reality factory folder and theres a file called weapon.ini. inside theirs weapon definitions. more detailed explanations in the manual.

You don't need to compile Reality Factory. It is already compiled.

As darksmaster already said, the weapons and whole RF are customized with the .ini files found in your install folder. Check the manual for details about what everything does. It is also possible to script the weapons for your game, giving you even more control over how the weapons work. However, it requires lots of knowlegde of scripting and I don't recommend it to you quite yet. :)

Enemy scripting is a bit trickier than setting up the weapons. My advice is to read the manual and the scripting section in the e-book zany already mentioned. Go through the sample scripts and try to figure out how they're written and you'll be writing your own scripts in no time. :P

If you come across problems that you can't seem to figure out, just drop a post here and I'm sure someone will be happy to help.

Welcome to the forums, BTW. :D

Thanks, I really needed the help! My last game making expirience was with game maker 6.1, which compared to reality factory is quite different! And by compileing, I meant creating a stand-alone game, that does not require reality factory, like the demo it comes with.

Compiling RF. Don't forget to use the search feature in the top menu bar.

like make it a stand alone game or a new executable file? the executable file is the main exe file that runs the game. if u just want a stand alone game, just delete unessacry stuff like the tools and docs folder then its a stand alone game. if u want a new exe u need to follow paradox's linky
