Forum Tips: Actor Creation


In a nutshell
by forum member Pickles:

If you have Milkshape:
1 - Download Lithunwrap
2 - open the 3ds file in lithunwrap.
3 - Save the file in ms3d format.
4 - Open the file in Milkshape.
5 - Export the file to BDY.
6 - Build the actor with actor studio using the BDY.

If you have max/ gmax
1 - Unzip the gmax export scripts into your scripts folder.
2 - Import the file into gmax
3 - Select the mesh
4 - Select modifiers - Unwrap - Edit
5 - Run the script listener.
6 - Run the NFO export script.
7 - Copy the data in the script listener window and save it as an NFO file.
8 - Use actor studio to build the actor with the NFO file.
