Looking for Skeleton

Post by Agentarrow »

Well, Terra Trooper is on track, I just need a skeleton to design my alien around, then I need to string the levels and cutscenes together and the first demo will be avilable! (However my scripts only work 50% of the time so I need to get that fixed. *shrugs*)
so I'm looking for a skeleton that is taller than a human skeleton, Backwards joints, and a tail. (Whenever I make my own it fails) and I don't trust any of the download sites ever since one killed my old computer (I'm getting a new one in august) luckily it didn't have terra trooper on it.

I also came up with a system specs, now it's all approximate but what I came up with:

Minimum system req:
Processor: Intel (R) Celeron (R) M 600 Mhz
Memory: 96 Mb of RAM memory
Graphics Card: Intel (R) 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller 16bit
DirectX 7.0
OS: Microsoft (R) Windows (R) 98
Hard disk space: 1.5 Gb free space

Recommended System req:
Processor: Intel (R) Pentium (R) II 1.6 Ghz or greater chip
Memory: 512 Mb of RAM memory
Graphics Card: ATI Crysalis x1500 32bit
DirectX 9.0
OS: Microsoft XP or Vista
Hard disk space: 3Gb free space

I'll see if it runs on lower, but with the recommended system specs, it ran with minimal loading times and good graphics. (I also got it to run VERY well on vista, don't ask how)

Building your own skeleton isn't that hard actually. It's just a new skeleton means new animations and those are a lot thougher to do.

I'm willing to make the skeleton for you if you can provide me the mesh. If you want to learn it yourself I can whip up a little tutorial for you. (Tried to search for one, but failed)

Knowledge is power!

look up a mdl format model and use its skeleton.
there are plenty of alien mods for hl. just take the skeleton and make a new model around it.

Yeah, that works, but it is very limited. Making a skeleton is really easy. Animating too, after some practice, but it's a bit time consuming. I really encourage you to build your own so you can have much more freedom and build basicly anything you like.

Again, I can write some, easy to follow, tutorials with some descriptive pictures, but only if people really have use for them.
