Pen and paper RPG recommendations

Post by SithMaster »

Further adding to my procrastination is my gaming group's creation of a weekly session of Exalted. While it is fun I wouldn't mind mixing it up with other systems/universes that are entertaining. Several possibilities include Dark Heresy, Rifts, World of Darkness, and maybe D and D (I doubt it though). While I'm going through the reviews over at RPGnet it wouldn't hurt to get some ideas or opinions from the rf community.

What I'm really looking for is a game that is rich with theme and offers balanced play with a gameplay mechanic that won't piss me off. Needlessly complicated dice rolling is something I want to avoid. I realize three of my suggestions do not meet all my criteria but I also plan on some house ruling (in the case of Rifts a lot of house ruling).

Hi Sith,

Give Pendragon a try - it should satisfy all your criteria ;)
