Which 3D art program do you usually use? I plan to use Milkshap 3D for my videogame.

I model in anim8or, which is freeware developed by a programmer from Nvidia, but I then texture, bone and animate in Milkshape.

Milkshape without a doubt is the easiest and simplest to use. It's cheap, has a straightforward easily understandable interface, no hassle & does the animation easily also. It has a built in but not very good UV mapper (that's it's weakness really) & a simple polygon reducer for making LOD's.

Well, LithUnwrap 1.3 is a nice freeware program I use for UV mapping... Oh wait, it's in the RF package too right?

Milkshape all the way!

Yeah, LithUnWrap comes with RF. Bernie said it well: MilkShape 3D is probably the best choice. It costs a bit but it's really wort it. It exports directly to .bdy and .mot so there's no need for additional exporters. I model in MilkShape -> unwrap in LithUnWrap -> texture in Photoshop.

Welcome to the forums, btw. And nice to see you posting again Steven. :)

The trial version is free. It last for 30 days. I think the full version costs something like 30 euros and it's a one time buy.

***EDIT***
MilkShape 3D costs USD 35 or EUR 25.

TrueSpace 7.6 is free. That is far more powerful than Milkshape.
