Not sure if this is the right place to post this or not..but...
I have a cutscene that I want to play when game starts. Ive put the avi file into the video folder and have the cutscene to play first. RF crashes and in the log file i found these entries.
*WARNING* OpenRFFile: file open attempt failed on type '6', file 'media\bitmaps\rflogo.bmp'
*WARNING* File .\Utilities.cpp - Line 741: Missing Bitmap rflogo.bmp or Missing Path
If I remove the cutscene everything works fine.
Anyone have any idea what this is?

Open the IniEditor in the tools folder
Make sure "Use 1st logo" is checked
Make sure "Use 1st Cutscene" is checked
Select your cutscene file
click Save and Exit
If "Use 1st Cutscene" is not checked RF wants to use a SplashScreen instead and if the line is left empty it looks for a default bitmap named rflogo.bmp

Re: Crashes if I have a cutscene video
Thanks QOD, but I had the "use first logo" and "use cutscene" correct. The problem was with my AVI. My avi was a flash animation converted to avi with Anvsoft flash to video converter. I recompiled the avi with virtual dub and it worked fine, was just a huge file by then. Now I got to find a codec that will work with RF and give me the compression to make the file size usable. Still no idea why it was searching for the "RFlogo.bmp though.
Any chance in future releases of being able to use swf animations as well as avi for cutscene movies??
