StaticMesh issues [resolved]

If I could get some help with this then that'd be great.

Basically, in RFEditPro, I create a StaticMesh entity, label szEntity, and then display the path to my .act file in szActorFile. I also set the scale to 20.
I then go to Build>Compile and hit OK. This works fine, and I can see the model in the 3D viewer. However, if I do anything, such as go to Template Edit mode, RFEditPro crashes (gives me the windows "boomp" error sound) without a message. Just quits.

What am I doing wrong? If you need me to clarify more or put up some screenies then I'd be happy to oblige.

Perhaps the scale factor is making it too big for RFEdit to handle?

Hmmm. That might be a good idea. I'll try enlarging the model itself instead of scaling it in RFEdit. I can never get a good sense of scale in 3D programs. :roll:

Let us know. I made a sphere from the basic objects at 12 rings x 12 (whatever the term) and the editor crashed. : - )

The lighting is a bit screwed and although you can't see it from this side, the texture is stretched across some of the faces so it looks bad (UV Mapping errors I'm guessing).
Model and texture by me. 304 polys I believe. :D

That looks great!! Nice shape. Nice and rough!!! It looks heavy.

I forgot to mention that it's really too big in the screenshot; the plan was for it to be about knee-height. :lol:
