Hey, no problem, you're still far more active (in post/day) than i am. :D

Many of us sometimes concenrate more on 'the real life' than on game making, and that's good too. I remember that steven8 once had a posting offtime of 8(?) months! (at least it was long...)

But it's always good to know beforehand when people are here / not here on the forums. So yes, have fun with... wathever you're doing!

Man, it was at LEAST 8 months. Not sure. I was just too dang busy. Anyway, don't worry about it. Life must come first.

What's the rush with your demo? :o

And from personal experience I can say that the more active you are in the forums the less your game progresses. I have a bad habit: Every time I start working on my game I check the forums and more often than not I get stuck browsing, reading and posting.

Take your time. Most Noobs here (under one year) , inters ( one to two years ) and us oldies over two years, are still working on our first demo/game.

Some of us (me / andy and a few oldies, still have to start our first ) ( I will one day :D ).

Dont rush it, take your time and get it right.
and when you have done it, STOP, look at it and then redo it better,. As there are things you missed first time.

if you need help do this:

1 : do a key word Search of the site ( if you have a problem it's more then likley been done before and has had a post here aout it)

but most of all

2 : RTFM. its all there. I still RTFM and go shit I did not know that.

and,

remember,

Keep,

at,

it.........

Quick reminder for Jay:

An early riser, Jay is. But he may not recall that.

The only reason I finished my demo was because I got laid off from work. I worked on my demo while hunting online for jobs, back in 2003.

Nah, that's not the real date. I was on several forums of RealityFactory before... (that all crashed somehow). I mean, the old forums, and the old old forums  When GekidoDesignGroup owned the site...

I mean, i can remember RF versions like 064 and 068, and 072 was released in 2004....

Many, many forums crashed. I originally joined the G3D forums back in 2001, after purchasing the Making 3D Games kit which contained G3D. I resisted the RF site at first, because Gekido ticked me off. At the time it seemed like he was trolling the G3D board trying to lure users away, when in fact he was making a good suggestion to non-programmer new users. Ralph Deane was still involved back then. :)
