G'day. I havnt tried to make a game since i was working on Project: Xenon about a year ago and it crashed. Anyway my game is a FPS set inside the mind of a mental institute patient. The Idea was originaly going to be a book i was going to write but instead i changed it into a game and introduced guns. Story line (I know this is heard all the time) is going to be big and important in finding out who the player is. Throughout the game you will be able to pick up diary entries from the character after they were instructed to keep a diary at a young age by a psychologist. So everynow and then you'll walk over a piece of paper and suddenly up comes this picture of a diary page with lots of clues in it. I want this to be like in Resistance FOM when you collect the intel reports. I've only just learned how to 3d model and im now learning the basics of UV mapping so i can show you some screenshots of models ive made for the game(untextured though).

nice game.
a few questions

1. why did you make a doctor as an enemy, i thought doctors were good and kind and helped anyone(even if they are the enemy)
2. why did you call the strongest enemy a tank???

Well the name Doctor is to do with the story line. Everyone of the enemies in the game has a link to a fear of the player experienced during their life. The reason you enter your mind to fight the demons representing your fear you are at a facility in which doctors are stabbing needles into your brain and asking you what you see. I dont wanna give away anymore story line but the player has a fear of doctors since the incident in the facility and the needles. The tank is called a tank because hes tank. :). Here are some textures Iv'e made for the game.

Thanks for the feedback. I have a few questions to ask, I hope they are not too nooby but I'm not very good when it comes to scripting.

1. Where is the script file that allows me to edit things suck as gravity and the speed of the player?
2. Is it possible to have multiple textures for an actor (such as an enemy) and once that actor has sustained a certain amount of damage for thier texture to change into a slightly more damaged texture?
3. Am I able to somehow attach a light to a projectile (laser) so that when it travels through a dark corridor it lights up the darkness as it moves?
4. Is it possible to have a shotgun shot so that it shoots out about 10 pellets that spread out over distance? If so then how am I able to do this?

Thanks alot if you can help.

Here are some more shots of objects in my game. I havnt started level design yet because I feel it is the most fun and the easyiest thing to do so im leaving it till the end.

Concept art for an enemy called pyro (this is what I do in S&E at school: Image

Second weakest enemy [Guards]. there will be lots of dudes like this hanging around the place wielding a shotgun for an arm.

A closer look at the Tank enemy: Image

Hopefully most used weapon in the game. Picked up early in the first level to ensure maximum fun. Image

Yes its cliche but there are going to be storage crates hanigng around with the following texture: Image

Glass testure (will look more like glass when transperent) : Image

Sounds pretty cool, nice concept art! I hope your models turn out that well (within the range of reality factory)!

haha sorry. It's a shotgun. I know it looks nothing like a shotgun but I wanted to branch out from things that are already real and put more abstract designs into my game. It will be a fast reloading shotgun shooting 10 pellets at a time. I am still wondering if anyone can help me do that.

Here is a couple of images showing the HUD and one of the muzzle flashes. This is not an actual level in my game it is just a level I created to test the textures I made. For the HUD I do not want any radar or anything but I was wondering how to incorperate armour and ammo into my game?

You could probably add 2 more things in character.ini for the ammo and armour. I'm no real scripter so I don't know how. But it's supposed to be in the manual somewhere.

After long delay from game making after photoshop stuffed up. And realizing that half the faces on my models were inside out I have picked up the game again. Hooray I've got my new better looking shotgun. I'm quite proud of it!
