Reality Factor Questions
Reality Factor Questions
I have a few questions about Reality Factor. First, on www.DevMaster.net, it says that Reality Factor costs 150$ for the professional version. Is this true or can I create commercial games from the start? I see no place to buy it if there is one. I think this looks pretty cool and want to try it if it is completely free. One last thing, does it work on a 64-Bit computer?

First, welcome to the community.
There is no Pro anymore, RF is free, Yes you can make commercial games, you just need to follow the License.
RF should work on the 64 bit computers.

Reality factory is 100% free and has been for sometime. It will remain free from now on. Yes you can make commercial games from the word go but remember the engine is 10 years old and cannot produce games of the comercial standard of today. I can't answer the last bit accurately about 64 bit pcs because I really don't know, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

Re: Reality Factor Questions
Ok. Well, I am not new at game programming, and need something that can run fast and accomplish stunning real life effects, so I don't think this will work for me.
Re: Reality Factor Questions
Good luck at finding an easy tool like RF that will have stunning effects.
Or just wait to 2010. Andy's working on a secret project: RF2. Not that secret though.

Re: Reality Factor Questions
Welcome to the RF community! Reality factory works just fine on a 64 bit computer. I have run it without any problems on my copy of Vista Ultimate x64.

Re: Reality Factor Questions
doesn't have anything to do with the fact that it's 64 bit. That's mainly graphics. Plus, if you do, you can switch to 16, or 32 bit in seconds.
