First of all I like the new site, even though I don't seem to spend as much time here as I did with the old one last year.....

the only thing I think that is kinda missing, is a section in the designers forum, that is just for posting resources, that the community shares....
Right now it only ever seems to be questions that are posted, whereas in the old forum, there was the resources section, where on a regular basis people were contibuting models, scripts, and turorials...
I really think the forum and community would benifit from the re-introduction of such a section... I know that there is some concerne with the available webspace for the files, and if needed I can host the files on my site for those who don't have somewhere to upload to.

the second thing is that I know it's taking me quite some time to catalog the files on my site , but there is steady progress... I've currently gotten about 50 of the files cataloged, and am adding around another 10 each week (sometimes more). All of the 170+ files are available for download though ( http://www.mapvault.com/uploads/rf/ ), or http://www.mapvault.com/xoops/modules/PDdownloads/
also thanks for the link in the resources section, I try to make it useful.

and lastley I thought I'd post the listings for the most popular downloads at my site... the last two sections list the rf resources, and independant tools.

I'd really appreciate it , if when you download from my site, you would rate the download , to let others know how helpful something is.... thanks...

ps I'm really glad that everyone is stopping by to grab what they need... I was worried that I would go to all that time, and it would just sit there... gglad you seem to like it.

the main issue is bandwidth

i agree completely that the resources area of the old forum was the most useful for users looking to become familiar with the engine.

i just added a new 'tutorials' links section to the main rf.ca site and will add in your main downloads / resources links so users can find the content hopefully.

i also have a pretty big range of rf resources that are just sitting on my harddrive, if i can find time to go through what you have, i'll try to upload or send you links to any content that is missing.

the main thing would be just mirrors of all of the games that have been made with rf, alot of them are still awol unfortunately - i do have them all (including all of the old genesis games / demos from waaay back), but simply can't afford to host them all at the moment.
