Converting HL anims

The half life human models have different movement animations like walk, run. When I try to convert them using MS3D or Equity to ACT the player model moves forward while animation. This causes problem in the game. The virgil actors have the movement animations while standing at on place.

Could somebody tell how to use the animations with the player model standing at one place?

We are working on it. Some of the animations need to be modified. The next release of Equity will have an animation editor but for the time being users of Milkshape can use that to modify the Animations. We are trying to make our animation editor much easier to use than Milkshape.

I cannot do that in milkshape. If anybody can give me the steps to do so then I would be grateful.

Very difficult in milkshape. We have just worked out how to make the motions compatible using our new motion editor and it will be very simple to do for the user. Could be a couple of weeks before we can release an update for Equity but it will be in the next release. So patience required.

No.
There will be an update for Equity quite soon that will take care of this problem.
