I have seen many post's that say they are having problems compiling / runing / loading etc... (but not solved)

I am one of those users (a vista user)
I have followed the single room tut so it cant be me.(followed it several time's) and it allwas crashes when i try and preview
So im not messing the build up I have even put in the camera / actor / and enviroment.

When i compile it says succsefull i choose preview then BOOM ! Black screen takes me back to desktop with the appliance
crash error. (some time's it does not crash but then it goes back to editor like nothing has happend?)

I have set preffrences in vista for XP service pack 2 with no joy.

Please can some one help me this program look's amazing and i cant wait to get started !

Hi, and welcome to the forums.

I'm a Vista user myself and have no problems whatsoever. Could you post the contents of your log (realityfactory.log in your main folder).

Off-topic: I see you visited the IRC channel. Next time wait for a bit more than 5 minutes as we may be busy with other stuff. I usually check my mIRC at least once an hour whenever I'm home.

Adding Entities
There are 3 entities that you must ALWAYS add to your Reality Factory levels before you first test them:
  • PlayerStart
  • PlayerSetup
  • EnvironmentSetup

Thanks for you input...

I had allready sorted my problem out by the time of you'r post with help from a member on the IRC channel.

It was my mistake in both sense's ie i was not setting player settings / and i had changed compatibillity which i did not need to do..(RF did not lile it)
