Why is RF so Finicky?

Well, with me, anyway.
The default directory according to the installer is "C:\Program Files\Reality Factory", but on some computers installing to said directory makes RF act up. Then when installed to "C:\Reality Factory" it works just fine. Is it just one of RF's little bugs? It can be kind of troublesome for those who just want to get through the installing process so they can get to tinkering with it, only to find out that it won't work becuase it was installed wrong. (I know rushing through installation processes are not a good thing to do, but when I find a new piece of software, I go bannanas over it if it looks cool )
I think in the next release (0.77?) the default install directory should be the directory that gives the least problems.
