My first natural animal just got the urge to model a dog so here it is so far.

Still needs feet and texture work.

Thanks the dog is really just a building block for a creature I am doing that I can't talk about for a team project I shouldn't talk about. Leave that stuff up to the head guys.

Plus I have a project of my own that needs a dog so I will be doing a high and low poly version for that as well.

Currently I have 4 versions of the dog. The low low poly version which is around 480 poly's, the version you see above which is around 1500 polys still low for a modern game engine, a mutated version thats around 1700 poly's currently that I can't show, and a WIP high poly version thats currently choking my system at around 45,000 poly's. Which makes working on it tedious and soon I'll move it to my main machine which can handle upwards of 150,000 polys in max before it starts bogging when I rotate etc.

It's nice now that I have 4 days off a week to work on whatever, and my new job I also have time to work as well. So I'm starting to get back up to speed.

Nice modelling Zen, as always. I suggest you to o to the psionic site and download his dog model, erase his model and keep the skeleton and the animation. Just to test your dog running... :D

sweet, its good to hear things are going well on this! I'm glad you got things worked out with your job, I know your situation had been really hard on you.

You can talk about this guy all you want, since he's a main staple character, he'll probably end up being the poster bad guy. Just be careful not to mention specific story points like the reason for the mutations.
