It's good to be back!

Well, I have finally gotten my life back on track (teenage drama is so harsh, and combine that with a new high school and it's a recipe for disaster) But I've returned to the forum after several months of absence. With just under a year until the release of RF2 (I hope) it seemed like a good time to return.

I've come back better than before, and while gone these have happened:
- I have become proficient in C#
- I bought an HP DV5-1002nr (fully loaded version)
- Acquired a new set of very nice speakers
- Had my best friend move to chigaco
- Stopped all work on Terra Trooper
- And I got very into racing games

So it's good to be back. Hello again to all

Have you learned XNA?

no... And looking back, I guess proficient is not the right word. I took a course in C# and passed it with flying colors, but still did only the class curriculum.

Take a look at XNA. They have a racing game starter kit that you may be interested in. Everything is done in C# also.

That is really great, and after taking the C# class, I should be able to work with it. I'll have to look into how to make models for XNA though, don't know if milkshape will work anymore. Looks like a lot of research to do. I'd Better get started.

Milkshape works just fine. XNA supports .X and .FBX out of the box. You can even use Blender with the FBX exporter.

cool. After checking it out, I'm going to spend more time coding than with RF, but I think that I'll be able to get a functional driving game done faster with XNA.
