Actors and gmax...

I'm kinda new here, and I was wanting to know:

1. Can the animations from the actors preloaded in with the program be used for custom models?

2. If so, is there a way to import the actor files/models into a gmax scene?

1) Animations cannot be imported into gmax (sorry), but can be imported into milkshape (shareware, $35 for the whole version)
2) Good news here. You can import actors into gmax! Just use "lithunwrap" to open the .act file, save it as a .3ds file, then import it into gmax!
