My RF Crashes at startup :(

Hello

I just downloaded RF and ran it for the first time. And it showed up the "Genesis3D" intro screen and screen blacked out and showed up an error report. :roll:

Error Signature:

And my system specs:

1GB Nvidia 9500GT Video memory
2 GB RAM
Intel Dual-Core 2.50GHz processor

What is the problem? :( Can anybody help me? I'm desperate to make games with RF! :cry:

Post your RealityFactory.log and D3DDrv.log files.

NO 3dfx card detected, using larger number of handles...
I think the problem is there. You should reinstall DirectX or video card drivers.

I don't think so. That statement does merely say that no 3dfx card was detected. 3dfx was a video card builder who was later taken over by Nvidia. They built the Vodoo series. The Vodoo series was one of the first evolutions of graphics cards and 3dfx had developed the Glide interface for it which was one of the first 3d-APIs.

@darkagent: Please install the patch "0.76.0 to 0.76.1". It's quite a bit newer and maybe your problem is already fixed. Hope this helps. And welcome to the forums. :)

Did you install the RealityFactory 0.76.0 to 0.76.1 patch? I think that patch fixed a crash that was reported in this thread:
