true, but the best way to learn rf is to learn yourself. ive always self-taught myself, never had anyone train me on game development, and i guess i just believe thats the best way. i may be wrong, but it sure helps me learn to depend on noone but myself.

outdoor levels are made exactly like indoor levels. i dont know exactly what you want to know; how to make terrain, how to make a sky, ...? all can be found in the docs/faq/tutorials.

Yes there is a way to make outside levels. I'm currently doing it for my game. You make all the buildings and stuff then you put a skydome around it. Try looking here

Here is the skydome refrence from the faq. Hope that helps.

Oh and please try reading through the faq it will help you. download it here. It helped me a lot.

You will need to use a static mesh.

Right Andycr?

Faq refrence for static mesh.

If your wanting to know what to make it in try gmax I don't know if its still available for download, but there are tutorials for making terrian. Or there is terr8, and many more if you want more info let me know.

you can do it with staticmesh, or staticentityproxy with collision brushes, or bsp. the easiest option is bsp, and gensurf.exe is provided with rf for that pourpose (look in tools)

after you get comfortable with that, id reccomend you move to static meshes.

Gensurf is horrid. Try using Nems Mega 3d Terrain Generator.

http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?c=2

Just make a terrain and import the .map in RFeditPro.

Note: For best results and preformance, make the terrain as small as possible, as a big complext one will make RFEditPro freeze up. Than, just scale the actors size down to make it seem like a great big world.

The solution for really big terrains are groups. Also i would recommend to turn out 'auto rebuild bsp' because it saves a lot of time.

Or you could split up your world in many different areas where each area is a own level.
