I know you should not intersect brushes,and would like to ask if it is the same with world model moving platforms.
Example:A wall has some brick blocks projecting several texels and some are moving platform traps that animate out of the wall and can be even modelstate modifiers that apply force to the player that pushes him (possibly to another trap).
I know the model does not split the polygons it touches and that is why you must make models some details like the projecting wall and floor bricks,rubble and other.
However they lose the shadow casting-can not have it all.
Can you make the resting inside the wall platform model block thick and intersecting the wall?
Does it mess anything you do know now about?
