Please help newbie with Reality Factory...3rd person games

Hello,
I am completely new to game development and I stumbled onto Reality Factory a couple of weeks ago. I am starting to get a hang of some of the features but I still have no clue on what I am doing, however, I see lots of potential in this game engine even for someone like me with no programming knowledge!!!
My goal is to create some 3rd person action/adventure type games like Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Onimusha, etc... I am not sure how to go about doing this. So far I am figuring out the level creator, but it always makes a 1st person preview. How can I get 3rd Person?? Direct help would be appreciated, but pointing me to a guide of some sort would also help a lot as I have not material on this engine.
Also, I am a pretty good at modelling in Cinema4D and Alias Maya. Would I be able to use characters, objects, and models created in these software in Reality Factory? Also, what would I have to do? Would I have to have them fully rigged for animation, apply physics to them, lighting effects, etc...? My only experience in these software is modelling mainly for animations and 3d art, but I can somewhat rig them for animation.
Also, is it possible to get a created game to work on a system like PS2? I know simply compiling an image and burning it will not work, but I have read something about homebrew games that can work with an HDLoader and a Memory card exploit or something like that...Would games made by RF count?? If not, it is not big deal, but I would like to know if you can set up a gamepad to work for this game. Like I said, I am completely new to game development so I do not know how to make any changes in settings for this software... The reason I ask about controller compatibilty is that I saw an adapter that you can connect a PS2 controller to a PC and that is my favorite game controller...
Thank you for taking the time to read my post.
