link Halo movie recruits Peter Jackson

Peter Jackson is best known for his Lord of the Rings trilogy which was heralded as a movie triumph. On the Halo film Mr Jackson and his wife have been named as executive producers.

The director, who is reported to be an avid fan of Halo, will use his Weta production facilities in Wellington, New Zealand where the film will also be shot.

God I wish I was working for Weta.

Halo 3 to be relesed at same time as the file. I cant wait..

I think it's great that they got a real talent like him, maybe we'll get a good game-to-movie conversion for once. doesn't bode well that they haven't anounced a director yet though. The script was also rumored leaked, and a review of it can be found with a quick google search (really interesting stuff) i still can't get over them replacing Sergent Johnson with Major Silva.

at this point, no one knows when Halo 3 is coming out, or if there will even be a Halo 3. the latest rumor is that Bungie studios next project is called Forerunner and has mixed elements from Halo and Battlefield 2/SW Battlefront. Players would play as MC and their success on mission would affect the gameplay/outcome of the game. but it's quite possible that Forerunner is just an April Fool's Day joke.

Bungie and Microsoft are neither confirming or denying any rumors regarding Halo 3, but we should hear exactly what the two are up to by the end of this year.

the good news is del torro is on board as well an it's gonna be filmed in my home town.....

so hopefully will be able to see sets and location once filming commencing
