Blender "error" message. Can anyone help?

Post by MakerOfGames »

When blender launches this message appears in the console box:

Code: Select all

Using Python version 2.4
'import site' failed; use -v for traceback
Anything I can fix? Or is this an unimportant "error"?

Blender still runs fine with this failed 'import site'.

*Note: I am a noob to blender, I was previously using truespace*
Think outside the box.

i think this just means you need a different version of python. but don't worry about it, like hike said, it doesn't really cause any problems unless you are trying to run a script that isn't supported by the version of python that you have.
