I've been doing a lot of 3D modeling the last couple of days and am currently working on a female character.

As of recently i'd never modeled before, only designed maps so this is a first for me.

I was wondering where i'm meant to go from here:

Image

I've got my front faces sorted out and if iwanted i could connect up the sides but then the sides of my model wouldnt be rounded, just strait? I've been trying for hours and i really don't understand how I'm supposed to make the sides of my model round aswell as the front and back.

And help would be great, the tutorial on the site seems to skip past how to model the sides.

kind regards,

wel first welcome to the world of 3d modeling, not to put you down but organic or natural objects sush as humans are alwyas the hardest i finde, as they dont have a set defind shpae so is hard to get to look right, where as something such as a car or gun have set dimentions.

secondly, the place you are going wrong is that you have 1 set of faces acros the fron, the models only bend where vertexes are.

i have taken your picture and done a quick drawing over it to give you some idea.

as you can see from the picture i have added another row of vertecies, the model will now bend at thos new points giving it one curve, this will look horrible with just one more set, but add enuf and will look smoother.

i hope this helps.
