Is RF2 still going to be based on Genesis 3d?

No, it is based on Irrlicht. http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/

GREAT!! Irrlicht is one of the best looking engines out there! :D

i got a question about RF2, when will it be ready, or at least ready for beta testing?

One more question.
Irrlicht has a lot of physics engine that can be added to it. Will RF2 have real a physics engine?

@scott: When it's done. Sorry. I honestly don't have a date, nor do I intend to get one. I plan on considering a public alpha test of the menu system when that's done.

@Kam: If time permits, I plan on integrating ODE.

Open Dynamics Engine. It's a physics engine.

Does ODE support skinned ragdoll?

I don't know. Even if it doesn't, I could most likely trick it by simply sending it data of the individual bones as if they were separate objects bound together, then taking the data it sends back and using it to manipulate the bones individually. If I have time.

Sound like you DO plan to have a physics engine in RF2. :D :D :D

I do. ...If I have time.
