you have no idea. . .

also

not as badly as you will be when you see how f***ed up these videos are. especially in combat.

The test level I made for my buggy team AI.
The elite are in black trench coats and gas masks. they are high definition models on a low functionality skeleton. with buggy AI, temporary voices, ect...
some randomly floating lights and mispositioned weapons.
its the laptop version so it is missing the complete-osity of the other game installation!
there are some temporary model, sounds, animations, scripts, effects, weapons, voices. ect...

there is an interesting feature in the debug screen here. the pawn that shootes the allied guy i follow is the top name on the list. watch his actions.

ps. this is were im saving my posts because sometimes it crashes when i try to upload.

I got it working!
the first one is a simple walkthrough of the two teams in the level.
one is the armed forces, the other is the legion forces.

fps, that looks very good!! I'd like a little more light, so I can see details on the soldiers, but the movement looks very natural, and I like the voices. Great work!

thank you so much for your supportive review steven8.
i will be uploading a in combat movie tonight. featuring sniping, my unsolved ai bug, and a friendly fire headshot.
the thing is, that the friendly fire should be impossible. but because the target is infront of the friendlies it reads as all clear.
this will be tricky to solve.
also steven8.
i am afraid that some of the problems are with the textures rather then the lighting.
the more detailed "elite troops" are wearing highly detailed but black trench coats, german style helmets, and face tight gasmasks. they are supposed to be like "elite" black ops guys. thus hard to pick out. thus not so easily seen in the low quality you tube format.
after this clip i will add more lights to the level.

thanks again for actually watching the clip.

Always good to have a quality friendly fire headshot!!

Perhaps you can bring out more detail in the darker testures by playing with the ambient colors of your pawns?

Your really doing fine work, fps. My boys have been playing Army Men RTS on the Gamecube and LOVING it! There is a terrific market for this kind of thing.

ha, i used to play all those old army men games too.
they were the first shooter games i ever owned.

what do you mean by playing with the ambient colors?
i thoought the models assumed the ambient lighting from the enviroment.
